Drew Trapnell
Managing Partner
Mr. Trapnell currently serves as Managing Partner of MSA, using his experience in private placements, financial analysis, and strategic planning to serve MSA's clients. Mr. Trapnell has overseen the completion of Senior and Subordinated Debt, as well as equity placements for middle market companies in industries that include software, manufacturing, and healthcare. Mr. Trapnell also has experience in M&A transactions.
In 2005, Mr. Trapnell managed the funding and acquisition for the expansion of a Nashville, TN based security alarm company, National Certified Alarms (NCA). Having successfully launched four offices (Memphis, TN, Jackson, MS, Birmingham, AL and Louisville, KY), Mr. Trapnell is overseeing the roll out of the business model.
Prior to joining MSA, Trapnell served as Partner with investment banking firm Capital South Partners, LLC of Nashville. While at Capital South, Mr. Trapnell was responsible for new business development, developing relationships with financing sources, and the analysis, production and management of the information and placement process on all transactions.
Prior to joining Capital South, Mr. Trapnell served in a similar capacity with Copeland, Wickersham, Wiley and Co., an oil and gas focused investment bank based in New York, New York. Mr. Trapnell earned his B.S. in Economics from Vanderbilt University and his M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. Drew is married and actively involved in the raising of his three sons.
Ron CombsMr. Combs uses his CPA designation and experience in financial analysis to serve MSA's clients. Mr. Combs has significant experience in financial statement preparation and analysis, as well as the management of the Finance function for multiple privately held companies in the healthcare services industries.
Mr. Combs received his B.A. in Acounting (Cum Laude) from Belmont University and his M.B.A from Vanderbilt University. Ron is married with two daughters.

Dave Trapnell counsels MSA clients in M&A as well as equity and debt placement transactions. Mr. Trapnell is former General Gounsel for a publicly held multinational oil and gas corporation and Partner in a major Houston, TX law firm.
Mr. Trapnell's areas of expertise include the structuring of entities, negotiation of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, as well as intellectual property transactions and licensing. Dave lives in Nashville, TN.
